About the Role
At Asda, there is nothing more important than the health and wellbeing of our customers. Our priority is to always put them first by delivering high-quality patient care. Due to our extended service contracts with the NHS, we're committed to delivering a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of minor eye conditions. A typical day will involve screening patients, coaching and training the wider team, and helping to maintain standards in the department.
We are passionate about providing our Optometrists with comprehensive training to fulfill their roles and enhance their skills. We offer a fantastic CPD program, protected time for further accreditations funded by Asda, and full support from in-store, regional, and home office teams for clinical and service queries.
About You
You will be a fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOCA, registered performer with your NHS area team or health board, MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining), and on track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD. You should be passionate about developing new patient services and shaping the department's culture.
You will work in partnership with an Optical Manager, support coaching and training, and help develop accessible services to meet customer needs.
Benefits
You will receive an excellent benefits package including:
* Discretionary company bonus
* Company pension up to 7% matched
* 15% colleague discount in store and online
* Free access to wellbeing services such as Wagestream, virtual GP, counselling, health and dental plans, and more
* Professional indemnity insurance
* GOC fees paid
* CET package
* Flexible working patterns
* Inclusion networks and parental leave policies
We encourage colleagues to bring their best and true selves to work, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone is valued.
