Based at our site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, we are seeking a Senior Radiochemist responsible for synthesizing and purifying isotopically labelled compounds used in regulatory studies, with experience in handling and preparing carbon-14 radiolabelled starting materials and a broad range of compounds.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
1. Act as Study Director, performing multistep synthesis and purification of carbon-14 labelled compounds using organic synthesis techniques.
2. Ensure all studies are performed and reported to high scientific standards and on schedule.
3. Utilize resources, skills, and effective planning to meet customer expectations regarding quality and timing.
4. Prepare and issue study plans and amendments.
5. Communicate study updates effectively with internal and external customers.
6. Support the preparation and scientific review of enquiries, cost estimates, proposals, study plans, and reports.
7. Design and plan synthetic routes for various chemical classes.

Qualifications
* PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry.
* Proven track record in multistep organic synthesis and a passion for laboratory work.
* Experience in Carbon-14 isotopic labelling.
* Proficiency with HPLC, MS, and NMR data interpretation.
* Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Significant study management experience.
* Experience working in CROs, GLP, SOPs, and COSHH environments.
