Technical Bid Writer
As Technical Bid Writer you will be involved in working as part of the business development team to draft high quality facilities management responses to Invitations to Tender and the development of engineering and TFM service delivery models.
Role Responsibility
* Supporting the Bid Manager and Sales Lead in providing technical responses and general narrative to bid requirements and drafting submission
* Delivering completed written proposal responses to the Bid Manager against agreed RFP deadline
* Supporting the Senior Bid Writer with technical responses
* Working with internal subject matter experts and specialist subcontractors to agree solutions and translate these into winning proposals
* Meeting with and interviewing individual contributors to capture the raw information and details required to then develop draft responses
* (In conjunction with the Bid Manager), issuing content for review and take feedback to enable the further updating and editing required to create final draft content
* Researching target markets for new or future solutions
Skills and attributes
* Strong hard FM, engineering and maintenance knowledge / background
* Strong understanding of innovations available in the FM sector
* Creative approach to developing maintenance packages that meet individual client requirements; including innovation, sustainability, energy management and cost savings
* Understanding of wider FM service lines; cleaning, CAFM, Helpdesk and front of house
* Attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
* Understanding of TFM and wider FM service delivery, including cleaning services
Qualifications
Essential - Proven engineering / technical services background
Essential – APMP qualification (or similar)
Essential – Strong writing skills and command of the English language
Desirable – Educated to degree level – previous bid writing experience
Desirable – Educated to degree level
