We are a small but growing business seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Payroll Officer / Wages Clerk / Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across different aspects of payroll, bookkeeping, and accounts while being part of a supportive and close-knit workplace.
Key Responsibilities
* Process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
* Maintain employee records, timesheets, and leave balances.
* Prepare and lodge PAYG, superannuation, and other statutory obligations.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable.
* Bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow.
* Assist with month-end and year-end reporting.
* Maintain accurate financial records in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks).
* Liaise with management, staff, and external accountants as required.
Skills & Requirements
* Proven experience in payroll, bookkeeping, or accounting (small business experience highly regarded).
* Knowledge of payroll legislation, superannuation, and award interpretation.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficiency in accounting software (Xero/MYOB/QuickBooks).
* Good communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
