We’re now looking for an experienced and driven Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our leadership team and help take the business to the next level.
The Role:
As Assistant General Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to lead the daily operations of the restaurant. You’ll inspire, develop, and motivate a passionate team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth service from open to close. You’ll have a hands-on presence on the floor while also contributing strategically to business growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
* Support the GM in managing all aspects of daily operations.
* Lead and develop the front-of-house team with a focus on training, motivation, and progression.
* Maintain the highest standards of service, guest satisfaction, and brand integrity.
* Oversee reservations, guest relations, and floor management during service.
* Manage financial targets, cost control, and budgets alongside the GM.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
* Assist with recruitment, scheduling, and staff performance reviews.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver a seamless guest experience.
About You:
* Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Senior Restaurant Manager, or similar in a quality restaurant.
* Passionate about modern British cuisine and delivering exceptional hospitality.
* A natural leader with strong communication and people-management skills.
* Highly organised, proactive, and commercially astute.
* A hands-on approach and ability to perform under pressure.
* Experience with reservations systems (e.g., SevenRooms, ResDiary, OpenTable) and POS systems.
