Sir Robert McAlpine has secured a prestigious contract to construct a state-of-the-art Battery Manufacturing Facility. The initial phase includes the design and construction of a 15GWh lithium-ion battery facility, ancillary buildings, and site-wide external works.
This Package Manager role will oversee concrete work packages as part of our £800m project.

The Package Manager role - Concrete
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will manage trade-contractor packages within the infrastructure and substructure team, leading engineers and subcontractors to deliver projects safely and to high standards.
We are looking for someone who:
* Takes ownership of their package, ensuring all works are planned, safe, and the site is organized.
* Promotes a safety-first culture and ensures work is carried out safely.
* Plans and oversees logistical requirements, liaising with the Works Manager and Logistics Contractor.
* Produces short-term programmes and phase plans to accelerate works or mitigate issues for on-time delivery.
* Monitors progress, analyzes performance metrics, and reports implications to the Project Manager.
* Collaborates with team members and considers the overall project context.
* Ensures technical compliance with contract documents, specifications, and drawings.
* Reviews and approves Inspection and Test Plans.
* Conducts quality inspections using FieldView.
* Manages technical submittals and RFIs within their scope.
* Ensures scope and subcontract requirements are met, understanding SRM obligations.
* Records key events and activities.
* Promotes the SRM Build Sure culture.
Your profile
* Strong leadership skills.
* Experience delivering multi-million-pound building projects.
* Experience managing structural steelwork and façade packages, ensuring quality and safety.
* Managed subcontractors for steel fabrication and façade installation, ensuring timely delivery.
* Led progress meetings, provided reports, and implemented corrective actions.
* Procured materials, negotiated with suppliers, and maintained high quality standards.
* Worked with design and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
* Ensured compliance with health and safety regulations during site activities.
* Experience with NEC contracts and managing Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events.
* Good knowledge of building products, construction details, and standards.
* Familiarity with construction software such as FieldView, 4P, Dalux, and Asta is desirable.
