Learning Support Assistant (Secondary - KS3/KS4)
Start Date: Immediate (February 2026)
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our secondary team, supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to make a meaningful difference to pupils with a range of SEND needs, including SEMH, trauma, and adversity.
Key Responsibilities
* Work under the direction of the SENCo, Senior Leadership Team, and teaching staff to deliver learning activities and interventions
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, enabling access to learning and promoting independence
* Build safe, trusting relationships and act as a positive role model
* Support pupils' holistic development, including emotional, social, and life skills
* Deliver bespoke intervention programmes and maintain accurate records of pupil progress
Essential:
* Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant in a secondary school
* GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths
* Strong organisational skills, including record keeping and running interventions
Desirable:
* Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
* Experience supporting pupils who have experienced trauma or adversity
