Swarm Recruitment are delighted to be supporting their client in search of an SEO Manager, to work within a well-established, award-winning and growing Marketing Agency in the heart of Birmingham A commercially driven agency offering services to promote substantial growth for their clients. The successful candidate will act as the SEO Manager, owning SEO for the business and clients alike. You will lead the planning and execution of SEO strategies across a diverse range of clients, sectors and budgets. Taking ownership of technical audits, on-page optimisation and strategic direction, all whilst ensuring SEO efforts align with PPC and paid for Social.
Within this client-facing role, you'll need to confidently present performance insights and strategic recommendations, while guiding and mentoring others to help bring your vision to life.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and guide SEO strategies aligned with individual client goals.
* Monitor performance and uncover insights using GA4 and other web analytics tools.
* Conduct technical SEO audits, recommending and overseeing site improvements and best practices.
* Optimise for Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) to ensure content is structured for AI-driven search visibility.
* Stay ahead of trends in AI and search; adapt strategies accordingly.
* Provide strategic input on how SEO, PPC, and Paid Social can work together for business growth (no hands-on PPC delivery).
* Present reports, performance data, and recommendations directly to clients.
* Collaborate with internal teams across content, design, PR, and CRO for cohesive digital campaigns.
* Ensure all activity is data-driven and measured against agreed KPIs.
Person Specification:
* SEO agency experience - technical SEO and content optimisation.
* Confident in setting up event tracking in GA4 using Google Tag Manager.
* Solid understanding of GEO and how AI is shaping search.
* Familiarity with PPC and Paid Social, with an ability to integrate them into wider digital strategies.
* Experienced with tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console.
* Highly organised, capable of managing multiple client accounts in a dynamic agency environment.
* Strong communicator, with the ability to present strategic direction and technical recommendations to clients clearly.
* Analytical mindset, driven by data and performance metrics.
* A proactive and progressive professional committed to continuous learning and staying ahead in rapidly evolving domains such as AI, GEO etc.

Working Hours:
This is a full-time position working 4 days in the office and 1 at home. Working hours are 8.30am/9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
