Job Description:
Your new firm
Our client is a Top 20 law firm with offices across the globe. They are currently recruiting Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives, or Experienced Paralegals to join their market-leading Fraud team nationwide. This role offers office-based, hybrid, or remote working, but you will need to come into their Birmingham office once a month or for training and client events as required.
Your new role
The firm has roles available across their Motor, Casualty, and Vehicle Hire teams at different levels, involving defending and investigating exaggerated claims, fabricated claims, staged accidents, and organised fraud. Responsibilities include speaking with clients, interviewing witnesses, analyzing evidence, instructing investigation teams, and considering sanctions such as cost recovery, injunctions, and police referrals. You will manage a caseload of litigated claims with appropriate supervision, primarily related to fraud concerns.
The Fraud team is a multiple award-winning, dynamic group known for defending fraud insurance claims and working with law enforcement agencies like IFED. The team’s achievements include court findings of dishonesty, police referrals, and cost recoveries. Leadership comprises experienced Associates, Legal Directors, and Partners who support your success.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be a solicitor, chartered legal executive, or experienced paralegal with knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules. Experience in defendant EL/PL, RTA, or credit hire is preferred; some fraud experience is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided. Experience handling litigated files, preferably in personal injury, is desirable.
What you'll get in return
This role offers flexibility with remote working, a competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits including private medical insurance, income protection, and discounted gym membership. Training will be provided, and there are opportunities for growth and professional funding.
