Trade Plan Operations Manager
Welwyn Garden City - 3 days per week onsite (Hybrid)
12-month PAYE Contract | £50,000-£55,000
We are seeking a proactive Trade Plan Operations Manager to join a central Trade Planning team at a leading national retailer. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role with exposure to a broad range of stakeholders, including Director-level. You will play a key role in optimising SOPs and operational processes, coordinating planograms and in-store events, and ensuring smooth delivery across multiple areas of the business.
About the role
On a daily basis, you will:
Review, document, and optimise standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes to improve efficiency
Coordinate in-store events and planograms, working closely with buyers and operational teams
Apply expertise in space and range merchandising to support operational and strategic planning
Develop and implement training processes for new starters
Oversee checkouts and till toppers space management
Lead floorplan audits, proof of concept projects, and master database creation
Maintain accurate filing, reporting, and process documentation
Identify automation and reporting opportunities to improve efficiency
Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, from operational teams up to Directors

Retail background essential, with experience in space and range merchandising
Proven project management experience
Strong stakeholder management skills, confident engaging at all levels
Self-starter, able to take a brief and run with it
Comfortable multitasking and adapting to changing priorities
Analytical, organised, and detail-oriented, with a focus on process optimisation and reportingWhy this role?
