Role Overview
My client is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to act as the technical interface between their engineering teams and customers throughout Europe. This role requires strong customer-facing abilities, the capability to communicate complex technical detail clearly, and solid grounding in electrical engineering principles. The position involves supporting product integration, troubleshooting, and helping customers optimise system performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, providing on-site and remote support.
* Assist with pre-sales and post-sales activities, including demonstrations, application advice, and technical troubleshooting.
* Travel across Europe to support installations, testing, and customer training.
* Translate customer requirements into engineering inputs and actionable feedback.
* Create and deliver technical documentation, application notes, and presentations.
* Capture customer insights to support product development direction and market strategy.
* Collaborate with the Sales team to engage OEMs and grow technical opportunities.
Required Experience & Skills
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Strong understanding of controllers, inverters, and power electronics.
* Excellent technical communication and relationship-building skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach.
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Europe.
* Confidence interacting with customers at all levels, both technical and non-technical.
