Key Responsibilities

1. Review and challenge regulatory interpretations, judgements and assumptions (IJAs) underpinning the Society’s IRRBB framework, with particular focus on the complexities of the Supervisory Outlier Test (SOT).
2. Assess alignment of IRRBB methodologies, assumptions and documentation with PRA and Basel IRRBB expectations, identifying gaps, weaknesses and required remediation.
3. Support the governance, documentation and approval of IRRBB regulatory interpretations, ensuring they are robust, defensible and audit‑ready.
4. Act as a trusted IRRBB subject matter expert, providing effective challenge and advice to senior stakeholders across the finance function.

How You’ll Do It

5. Educated to a least degree level.
6. Strong technical knowledge of IRRBB regulatory reporting gained from within a UK retail-focussed financial services firm including the SOT.
7. Experience reviewing and documenting regulatory interpretations, judgements and assumptions within a finance or treasury function.
8. Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
9. Confident communicator, able to influence and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
10. Delivery-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
11. Strong self-management skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
