About the recipient
Lady aged 55 years old residing in the Bridlington area requires a dedicated and suitable person to support them for 8 hours per week for 2 days per week at 4 hours each day. Lady has poor mobility and fibromyalgia.
Lady likes/enjoys - arts and crafts, nature and wildlife, historic places and buildings, museums, coffee, food and loves the beach.
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Meal preparation - support with batch cooking for the week.
2. Assisting the individual with accessing activities and spending time out in the local and wider community.
3. Attending/transporting the individual to social activities and appointments.
4. Encouraging social interaction.
5. Domestic support and any other household support, support with shopping.
6. Some personal cares.
About the candidate
7. Be motivated, proactive and able to work on their own initiative.
8. Be patient, caring and understanding.
9. Have good communication skills (clear and effective communication).
10. Be able to build a positive relationship with the individual to both encourage and support them.
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post - Cost to be met by the local authority.
