We are currently looking for a Digital Merchandiser to join our Trading team at Laithwaites. This role is a full-time, permanent position working 35 hours a week in a hybrid setting. You will be based in our Theale Head Office.
Job Purpose:
• Drive online sales growth by delivering a seamless onsite experience for our customers.
• Execute digital merchandising strategies for all customer journeys. Using data to understand the digital customer and drive key onsite metrics.
• Oversee the categorisation and placement of products and promotions online to ensure easy navigation and product discovery for customers.
• Report on the performance of products and pages, feedback actionable insights and make recommendations for optimisation & improvement to drive CVR rate onsite.
• Support wider Trading team achieve revenue and margin targets through demand planning, sales analysis and promotional marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analysing key product and category trends from internal and external search data and implementing trading opportunities.
2. Monitoring search/category/landing page CTRs and CVRs and improving performance through A/B testing, page personalisation, ranking strategies and AI integration.
3. Championing customer journeys and experience through the optimisation of promotional campaigns/pages online, relevance and useability of search and navigability of product range.
4. Ensuring product details are captured, displayed and optimised effectively for customers, SEO and performance marketing.
5. Work collaboratively with all commercial departments to simplify digital strategy and propositions.
6. Ensuring all products are accurately listed and well represented with persuasive stories, accurate attributes and social proof.
7. Brief online creative and manage ad-hoc changes to the website, such as promotional information, content updates and product amends through Adobe Workfront.
Experiences and Skills:
• Substantial digital merchandising or digital marketing experience.
• Strong understanding of the online customer journey and consumer behaviour.
• Demonstrable ability to interrogate data and make data-led decisions.
• Working knowledge of SEO and performance marketing.
• Experienced Microsoft Office user, especially Excel.
• Experience with Digital Merchandising or search/browse platforms.
• Experience with analytic tools like Adobe, PowerBI or Google Analytics.
Personal Qualities:
• A passion for wine or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently, manage own workload, and meet deadlines.
•Strong communication skills and relationship building across various teams.
