Academics in Canterbury are seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator to support and lead SEND provision across schools in East Kent, including Canterbury, Thanet, Dover, Whitstable/Herne Bay, Folkestone, and Hythe.

What you'll do as a SENCO:
Lead and manage SEND provision across the school
Oversee EHCP processes, reviews, and statutory requirements
Coordinate support strategies for pupils with a wide range of needs
Work closely with teachers, support staff, external agencies, and families
Deliver or coordinate training for staff to enhance inclusive practice
Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and drive whole-school inclusion
What we're looking for:
Qualified SENCO (National Award for SEN Coordination) or significant SEN leadership experience
Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, the Code of Practice, and EHCP processes
Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
A proactive, child-centred approach to supporting diverse needs
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
