We are looking for enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join our team in Poole!
About Us
At Budwood, we believe in creating a stable and nurturing environment for young people who have experienced adverse childhood experiences. Our mission is to guide them towards independence and adulthood by offering high levels of support and teaching essential life skills.
Your Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
* Provide flexible and individualized care packages for our children and young adults.
* Work collaboratively within a supportive team that values your unique contributions.
* Receive training in 'Developmental Trauma' and therapeutic parenting to enhance your ability to support our young people effectively.
Main Duties and Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Experience working with children and young people, along with an understanding of the challenges they face.
* Flexibility to work 7 x 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins, on a rotating schedule (09:00 AM - 09:30 AM the following day).
* A commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of our young people.
* The ability to establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships.
* A willingness to work as part of a team and accept guidance.
* A qualification in Residential Childcare, Families Practitioner Diploma, or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or a willingness to work towards Level 4).
* A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* A readiness to learn and grow in your role.
* A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (which we will cover).
Desirable Experience
Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is a plus!
