We are working with a top-tier construction company who are looking to employ a Pre-Construction Manager on a full-time basis. Responsibilities: * Lead and manage the pre-construction phase, ensuring projects are technically sound, low-risk, and commercially viable * Chair progress meetings and coordinate design development, surveys, investigations, and planning activities * Identify and manage project risks, constraints, and opportunities * Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including clients, designers, and supply chain * Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, quality standards, and company procedures * Support tender and bid submissions, offering technical insight and value engineering input * Provide early input into procurement, consents, and construction planning * Oversee the integration of temporary and permanent works design with a focus on buildability * Manage financial forecasting, cost control, and reporting during the pre-construction phase Essential: * Previous experience leading design, commercial or project teams in civil engineering * Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) * Knowledge of CDM regulations, contract conditions, risk management, cost control, and programme planning * Proficiency in Primavera P6 (or equivalent planning software) * Strong communication and team leadership skills * Ability to challenge designs and deliver effective, practical solutions Desirable: * Professional qualification or membership of a relevant industry body * Experience with Affinity Water or similar infrastructure projects Benefits: * Competitive salary * 25 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays and loyalty days * Flexible benefits via salary sacrifice * Company car or car allowance * Leadership & management training * Career progression support and annual salary review * Flexible working arrangements * Much more!
