MPA Healthcare are recruiting Day Care Support Workers on Behalf of our Clients in the Southern trust Area. The support worker will work as a member of a team within day services meeting the assessed needs of individual adult service users with learning/physical/sensory disabilities accessing day services which will be centre based .
Job Duties
Assist in meeting the complex support needs of individual people with learning disabilities. This may include all aspects of intimate and personal care, assistance with eating and drinking.
To assist people with learning disabilities with a flexible transport service throughout the day.
Assist in the assessment, planning and implementation and record progress etc of individual and group packages of support designed to enhance and maximise the capabilities and independence of the individual.
To work as required throughout Day Support Services with people with learning disabilities within the Trust.
Ensure that all legislation, policies and procedures and strategies are appropriately implemented and adhered to at all times
Qualifications/Experience
6 months recent experience in a similar healthcare setting
Must be NISCC registered or willing to apply
Must be willing to complete an Access NI check
