Role Overview
The successful candidate will manage and oversee CBEC projects primarily in England and Wales, coordinating day-to-day operation, overseeing project teams, implementing reviews and quality assurance procedures, mitigating project risk, leading tender writing and lending expertise. The role will be hybrid with a mixture of home and office based work.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage senior project teams on water resource and environmental projects.
* Coordinate day‑to‑day project operation and oversee project teams.
* Implement reviews and quality assurance procedures and mitigate project risk.
* Lead and write tenders, develop project proposals and contribute to company marketing.
* Assist with fieldwork duties when required and support the development of project proposals.
Qualifications & Experience
* MSc level in water resource/environmental management or related discipline (preferred).
* 5+ years of experience in project management, with expertise in river restoration, fluvial/coastal geomorphology, fisheries/catchment management, ecology or hydrology.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Formal project management training and financial management skills.
* Experience working with key regulators such as the EA, NRW and SEPA (ideal).
* Line management responsibilities and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a larger team.
* Pro‑active, dependable, self‑motivated and willing to travel to project sites and client offices.
Additional Requirements
* Full UK driving licence.
* Formal project management training.
* Financial management skills.
* Ideally experience working with key regulators including the EA, NRW and SEPA.
* Someone who is dependable, pro‑active and self‑motivated.
* Willing to travel to projects sites, client offices as well as other CBEC offices as required.
* Line management responsibilities.
