Community Engagement Coordinator (Part Time)
Connecting people, ideas, and research for lasting impact. We’re looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator who is passionate about bringing communities and researchers together and creating spaces where collaboration can thrive. You will lead projects from planning to delivery, organise inclusive events and workshops, and embed equity, diversity and inclusion into everything you do. You’ll work closely with researchers and community partners to create opportunities for knowledge exchange with real world impact.

Working pattern
Part-time role offered at 60% FTE. The team works in a hybrid way with office days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The role holder is expected to work in the office on at least one of these days. Some weekend and evening work will be required for community events and during the Cambridge Festival.
About the role and organisation
The Community Engagement Coordinator will work directly with the Community Engagement Manager who leads our strategic approach to Community Engagement. At the University of Cambridge, Community Engagement with research means building real, lasting relationships based on connection, collaboration, and inclusion. We work with communities to shape research that matters to them. The role is within the Engagement Knowledge Exchange and Impact team, ensuring engagement is rooted in sharing knowledge, sparking dialogue, and building meaningful connections beyond academia. Through collaborative projects, inclusive events, and creative partnerships, we aim to explore ideas, address shared challenges, and celebrate diverse perspectives, making research accessible, relevant, and responsive.
