Responsibilities
* Manage a team of 7, including 3 Financial Accountants and 3 Assistant Financial Accountants, and provide coaching and development to ensure a high-performing team.
* Oversee monthly group consolidation, ensuring UK financials are finalised by Day 5 and reporting to the group by Day 8, with a focus on balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow reporting.
* Identify and implement process improvements in financial operations and reporting to increase efficiency and accuracy.
* Provide strategic insights and detailed analysis to senior leadership on financial performance and reporting, including balance sheet reviews and cash flow management.
* Support the integration of acquisitions, ensuring seamless consolidation of financial data across the group.
Requirements
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with ample post-qualified experience and a strong foundation in group consolidation, month-end close, and technical reporting.
* Team leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing, coaching, and developing finance teams through periods of change and process improvement.
* Background in fast-paced, multi-entity environment, ideally PE-backed or within the retail sector, where adaptability and hands-on involvement are key.
