HR Advisor
1. Working hours are typically 40 hours per week, generally from 08:30 to 17:30. The role is home-based with approximately one day of travel per week to sites around Norfolk.
2. The day rate ranges from £250 to £300, depending on experience.

We're seeking a confident and driven HR Advisor to join our team and deliver a proactive, people-first HR service that empowers managers and supports our wider business goals.
In this varied role, you'll act as a trusted partner to operational leaders-providing expert advice, guidance, and hands-on support across the full employee life cycle. From employee relations and performance management to organisational change and engagement initiatives, you'll play a key role in shaping a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
4. Provide professional HR advice and coaching to managers on all aspects of employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and capability matters.
5. Partner with managers to build confidence in people management, ensuring consistent and legally compliant practices.
6. Lead and manage absence cases, working closely with Occupational Health to support employee well-being.
7. Support organisational change programmes-such as restructures, TUPE transfers, and consultations-ensuring clear communication and compliance.
8. Collaborate with the wider HR team to deliver accurate data, reporting, and case management updates.
9. Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and develop recommendations for improvement.
10. Support recruitment activity, including approvals, interviews, vetting, and on-boarding processes.
11. Contribute to HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement, inclusion, and retention.
12. Build strong, collaborative relationships across the business and act as a trusted point of contact for all HR matters.
13. Provide cover for other HR Advisors when required and promote best practice in all areas of HR and people management.
About You
You're a confident HR professional with a strong generalist background and a passion for supporting people and managers. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities, and using your initiative to deliver effective, pragmatic HR solutions.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
14. CIPD qualified (or working towards) or equivalent HR experience
15. Strong employee relations background who is also comfortable coaching and training managers on HR topics such as disciplinary/ investigations/ grievances/ difficult conversations etc.
16. Broad understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment legislation
17. 2-5 years' experience in a generalist HR role
18. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels
19. Highly organised, with the ability to manage a varied workload independently
20. Strong IT proficiency (Microsoft Office and HR systems)
21. Flexibility to travel within your designated region
Desirable:
22. Experience in Facilities Management, Hospitality, or similar fast-paced environments
23. Experience working with trade unions
24. Strong customer focus and commercial awareness
