Commercial and Framework Management Role
Environment Agency – a role focused on commercial governance of contracts with key consultancies and contractors, maximizing project value, managing pathfinder programmes, and ensuring commercial assurance across integrated delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the team responsible for the commercial governance of contracts.
* Help set up and manage pathfinder programmes embedding best practice and developing long‑term partnership arrangements.
* Champion effective governance and commercial assurance across the Integrated Delivery Management teams and wider Project Management community.
* Develop excellent internal and external relationships and become an expert on contractual and commercial interpretations.
* Undertake required training and participate in incident response duties as part of the Environment Agency's incident role.
Qualifications, Education and Skills
* Essential – A‑Level or Level 3 equivalent, strong communication skills, stakeholder management experience, strong data and document management skills, commercial acumen to make informed decisions and deliver value for money, administration skills including minutes and report drafting.
* Desirable – degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience, experience towards a recognised professional body such as ICE, CIWEM, APM, CIPS or RICS, formal training in contract management (NEC, Contract Management Capability Programme).
Additional Requirements
Willingness to shadow, undertake long‑term professional qualifications (e.g. NEC training, CIPS), and a confidence to ask questions to drive development.
Interest in infrastructure, construction or environmental programmes.
Working Conditions
Hybrid working available; requires travel across the country, including occasional overnight stays.
