Document Controller – Main Contractor
Salary: £35,000 - £37,500
Ridgeway & Co are working with a leading main contractor is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Document Controller to join their team on a major construction project based in Harlow.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to work in a structured, fast-paced environment, supporting project delivery teams with the management, organisation, and control of construction documentation through 4Projects (Viewpoint for Projects).
🔧 Responsibilities:

Maintain, distribute, and manage documents using 4Projects (Viewpoint)
*
Ensure document control procedures are followed across all teams
*
Track, log, and update drawings, RFIs, submittals, and design changes
*
Maintain revision control and manage drawing registers
*
Coordinate with design, commercial, and site teams to ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
*
Prepare document transmittals, reports, and issue sheets as needed
*
Support project audits and ensure compliance with QA standards

Proven experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry
*
Proficient with 4Projects (Viewpoint for Projects)
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills
*
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
*
Comfortable working both on-site and in a fast-moving project office environment
