Lincoln
Goodlord
Posted: 8 February
Offer description

📍Hybrid - 2 days per week in our Lincoln City Centre Office, 3 remote/wfh (or office if you prefer!)

🚆Regular trips to other offices, including Sheffield and London (approx. 2 days a month in addition to above) are essential.

✨ All travel and accommodation costs to non-base office locations are fully covered

Goodlord’s mission is to be the gold standard platform for renting and we’re on the hunt for a People Partner, reporting directly to our People Partnering Lead, to help us achieve this.

Our award-winning lettings platform is at the heart of delivering best-in-market products, services, and user experiences to letting agents, landlords, and tenants, across England, Scotland, and Wales.

We thrive on innovation, move at a rapid pace, and are driven by a passion for solving complex problems for our Customers - both internal and external.

You’ll be accountable for delivering the people strategy and ensuring the execution of our People management processes and initiatives.

We are people led and policy light so if you are used to working to strict process steps this may not be the role for you - you will be helping to co-create the people processes as we evolve our people practices and use your judgment in how we approach complex ER cases.

We are a top-50 rank as a Great Place to Work; with our People team proud to win gold for "Support Team of the Year" in the Customer Contact Centre Forum awards.

No two days are ever the same at Goodlord so what you’ll be up to will vary. The pace we move at also means priorities will change and you’ll need to be comfortable with this (we’ll support you!). The following areas are core to your role and will keep you busy.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

* Driving a High-Performance Culture – Partnering with our Managers to conduct org design, talent mapping and execute outcomes for all performance levels, ensuring we maintain a high bar across the business with team structures that are healthy, effective, and ready for growth.
* Solving Complex People Issues – Supporting managers through intricate cases by reviewing legal advice and creating robust plans to ensure matters are handled fairly and effectively.
* Demonstrating Tactical Excellence – Acting as the go-to person for Manager queries and ensuring all people priorities from absence management and quarterly compensation reviews through to ad-hoc performance interventions are all executed with precision and good judgement.
* Empowering Leaders – Acting as a coach for our people managers, providing development on live issues and broader leadership skills to help them grow. Additionally, writing and delivering high-impact training workshops, including our Leadership Management Development Programs (LMDP) as an effective route to growth.
* Driving change – Review and analyse business metrics for your business areas; identifying trends in people data and using insights to identify, recommend, and deliver improvements to improve outcomes and decision-making.
* Curating the Employee Experience - Managing our Lincoln office environment and facilities, fostering connection and engagement through social events and day to day operational management of the office environment.
* Ad hoc projects - there’ll be many to get your teeth into, we’re always curious and keen to adopt new ways of working to keep us focused on people innovation.

ABOUT YOU

You should apply if you:

* Have solid commercial experience as a People Partner/HR Advisor/HRBP/HR Generalist in a high-performing People team.
* Have strong subject matter expertise on all things ER - you’ll be expected to autonomously manage your own cases, identify risks and find ways to navigate complex situations. To reiterate, we are people led and policy light.
* Show passion for growing and developing teams and cultivating an inclusive culture where the best and brightest can thrive. This involves creating content for and facilitating in-house people development programmes.
* Are a curious, strategic thinker who can roll up their sleeves; you’re comfortable with data and can think critically to diagnose issues and create solutions that drive a high-performance culture.
* Are resilient and can thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; you enjoy the challenge of change and are comfortable spotting opportunities to make things better.
* Excel in building strong, trusting relationships with your teams. You possess good communication skills and can challenge, coach and guide… sometimes all in one conversation.
* Seek enjoyment in delivering as part of a team.

ABOUT US

We started Goodlord because we wanted to make renting simple and transparent for everyone involved: the agent, landlord, and tenant. As more and more tenants with higher digital expectations entered the market, we were confident that we could provide a solution that works for everybody.

And we did. Like all scale-ups, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster journey. Still, we’re now stronger than ever, with around 3,000 letting agents using the platform, exciting & varied product lines and over 300 Goodlordians across the group supporting the mission!

At Goodlord, our purpose is simple: to be the gold standard platform for renting. And we know that achieving that starts with our people. That’s why we’ve worked hard to build a culture where everyone can thrive, and it’s something we’ve been consistently recognised for.

Over the years, Goodlord has been named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ across multiple categories, from wellbeing and development to being a great place for women in tech. In 2025, we ranked among the Top 50 Best Workplaces in the UK, large category.

Not only that but the following too:-

* Great Place to Work certified - 2022, 2024, 2025
* Top 50 UK's Best Workplaces™ - Wellbeing, Development and Women 2025
* Recognised as a UK's Best Workplaces™ in Tech 2025
* Top 20 UK's Best Workplaces™ - Wellbeing, Women and Tech in 2022 - medium category

These achievements matter to us not just as awards, but because they reflect something more important: a durable, people-first culture that we’ve built together. One that continues to grow year after year.

Our values guide our decisions, the way we work, our culture and the people we ask to join the team. We work hard, have fun and support each other. We’re not afraid to make mistakes (we’d never learn if we didn’t) and we’re always looking to challenge ourselves.

Our collaborations are based on honesty, friendship, and respect.

It’s an exciting time here at Goodlord. If you’re inspired by what we’re doing, are up for a challenge and share our values, we’d love to hear from you.
