Post 2- Location: Leeds City Centre Campus, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10am- 6pm, Start Date- August 2024
We are looking for an accomplished professional to join our Student Support team as a Duty Manager, one at our Horsforth Campus and one at our new Leeds City Centre Campus. Using a range of people skills, the successful candidates will support and maintain a student support presence on campus, and provide student appointments covering advice on a range of issues.
The shift pattern will cover Mon-Fri either between 9am and 5pm or 10am-6pm, with occasional change in hours on a quarterly basis for team meetings (the city campus hours pattern may be reviewed to ensure they suit student demand).
You will assist in the provision of support and guidance to students and will develop a good all-round knowledge of support matters, and arrange referral to team colleagues where appropriate.
Working in a complex environment, your work will involve effective communication and consultation with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with sector best practice.
Applicants must have practical experience of providing student support and engaging with service users to understand their requirements and develop solutions. Excellent problem solving and communication skills are essential, as is a strong commitment to providing high quality support services to staff, students, and other stakeholders.
