Job Description:
We're recruiting for Support Practitioners in Dumbarton and Balloch!
Our team is looking for two understanding and creative individuals with a positive attitude to join as Support Practitioners on a full-time, permanent basis.
No previous care experience is necessary; we recruit based on your values and transferable skills and will provide training, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ.
For this role, a full UK, manual driving licence with at least 1 year of driving experience is essential, as the individuals supported have mobility cars.
The Role
Our supported individuals have diverse needs, including mental health challenges, learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, addictions, and past trauma. As a Support Practitioner, you will assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, appointments, activities, personal finances, moving and handling, and personal care. You should be interested in engaging with their hobbies and passions.
You will help individuals discover new opportunities, encourage social connections, learn new skills, and reduce isolation, enabling them to lead the lives they choose.
To be an effective Support Practitioner, you should:
* Have an empathetic and caring nature.
* Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Be confident in using computers.
* Work well independently and in a team.
* Have good organizational skills.
Shift Patterns
Our teams provide 24/7 support, including early shifts starting at 7:30 am, late shifts, sleepovers, and possibly waking nights. The role involves working weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
