We are working with an innovative and fast-growing technology company operating at the forefront of a cutting-edge digital industry. The business partners closely with leading organisations in the media and entertainment space and is looking to hire an experienced Technology Lawyer (5-10 years PQE) to join its in-house legal team.This role offers the opportunity to work on complex technology and IP matters while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and commercial teams. You will play a key role in supporting the development and deployment of new technologies, including regularly reviewing and advising on emerging AI tools and technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesDrafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of technology and commercial agreements, including software licensing, SaaS agreements, and technology partnershipsAdvising on intellectual property, licensing structures, and IP protection strategiesSupporting the business on matters relating to source code agreements, API integrations, and other technical commercial arrangementsWorking closely with engineering and product teams to provide practical, business-focused legal advice on technology development and implementationReviewing and assessing AI tools and emerging technologies from a legal, regulatory, and risk perspectiveLeading negotiations with customers, partners, and vendors on complex technology contractsAdvising internal stakeholders on risk management, compliance, and best practice in technology contractingKey RequirementsQualified lawyer (5-10 years PQE) with strong experience in IT and intellectual property lawDemonstrated experience drafting and negotiating technology licensing agreementsGood understanding of source code arrangements, APIs, and software development environmentsAbility to work effectively with engineers, product teams, and technical stakeholdersStrong commercial awareness and negotiation skillsExperience working in-house or advising SaaS or technology companies would be highly advantageousInterest in emerging technologies and AIIf you have the skills described above and are keen to discuss this opportunity in more detail, please kindly share your CV with Sarah sturnbull@kgglobal.co.uk
