The world's leading private security organisation, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for an Explosives Detection Dog Handler! The rate of pay is £30 - £40 per hour. G4S Canine operates in the following sectors: Public events, Stadiums, nuclear power plants, oil and gas companies, airport, ports, banks, hospitals, factories, warehouses, commercial facilities, residential communities and much more. Applicants must hold NASDU level 4 in Explosive Detection Dog Handling. You will hold a current SIA licence (Security Officer or Door Supervisor) Own fully trained Explosive Detection level 4 Dog. BS 8517 compliant vehicle. Your Time at Work Responsibilities include: - Performing security patrols of designated areas on foot with a trained security dog. - Watching for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards. - Sounding alarms or calling the police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons. - Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles - Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits. - Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements. - Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. - Carry out random patrolling with security dog to detect and deter. Our Perfect Worker Candidates must be able to: - Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot with a trained explosive detection dog. - Watch for irregular or unusual activity that may create security concerns or safety hazards. - search vehicles, both static and VCP. - Carry out cursory searches of both empty and populated areas in conjunction with counter terrorism teams. - Be computer/technology literate to assist with reporting matrix. - Be willing to complete behaviour detection training. - Attend monthly assessments to remain BS8517:2 compliant.
