We are hiring for Storage/Openshift/DPS Experts and Architects based at Sheffield, UK (3 days per week Onsite). Key Skills: Storage, DPS, Openshift, SAN, virtualization. We're currently working with a leading enterprise client in Sheffield and are looking for high-calibre contract professionals across Storage, Data Protection, and OpenShift Architecture. If you're a specialist in enterprise storage, backup & recovery, or OpenShift architecture & migrations, this is a strong opportunity to work on large-scale, business-critical platforms.
Open Roles
* SAN Architect/OpenShift Architecture Specialist — £454/day (Inside IR35)
o Design scalable, secure OpenShift architectures (HA, DR, multi-region)
o Lead migration strategies (containerisation, workload/data migration)
o Strong integration with VMware (vSphere, NSX) & Pure Storage (FlashArray/FlashBlade)
o CI/CD, automation (Terraform/Ansible), and DevOps workflows
o Deep Kubernetes/OpenShift expertise
* Storage DPS SME (Data Protection Services) — £370/day (Inside IR35)
o SME for NetBackup/Commvault/Data Domain
o Design backup policies, retention, air-gap strategies
o Ensure resilient backup, restore & DR across OpenShift, virtualised & bare-metal
o Strong in RPO/RTO design, compliance, and DR drills
o Performance optimisation (dedupe, encryption, replication)
* Storage Automation/SAN SME — Competitive
o Strong SAN/NAS + virtualization + provisioning/migration
o Experience with enterprise storage platforms
o Automation, testing, and platform certification

Candidate Profile
* Deep expertise in enterprise storage, backup, or OpenShift ecosystems
* Strong infrastructure + cloud-native crossover knowledge
* Proven experience in large-scale transformation/migration programmes
