Overview
Training and Process Manager – Bakery Operations: Responsible for developing, delivering, and monitoring training and process programs to ensure all bakery staff meet food safety, health & safety, and operational standards. Acts as a key link between Bakery, Technical and HR to support the delivery of the company objectives and legal requirements. This role champions a culture of high standards, continuous improvement, and a “can-do” attitude.
Key Responsibilities
* Training & Development
o Deliver induction and onboarding training for new employees.
o Create standard operating procedures for all machinery ensuring food safety and health & safety aspects are covered within.
o Collaborate with the bakery, HR and quality teams to align on operational standards.
o Maintain accurate training records and conduct training needs analysis regularly.
* Compliance & Auditing
o Monitor compliance with internal policies, food safety laws, and health & safety regulations.
o Completion of daily product quality checks across the full bakery.
o Conduct process verification of key bakery products.
* Documentation & Systems
o Keep policies, procedures, and training materials up to date and aligned with legislation.
o Support digital training tools and compliance tracking systems.
* Stakeholder Engagement
o Work with operational team, bakery supervisors and HR to embed a culture of learning and accountability.
o Provide coaching and feedback to improve performance and standards on-site.
o Encourage a learning culture where people feel supported to grow.

o Identify trends from audits and training feedback to improve processes.
o Promote a “can-do” attitude across teams with practical, solution-focused guidance.
Skills & Experience
* Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety legislation.
* Experience in training delivery and audit processes within food manufacturing.
* Excellent communication and coaching skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to influence positive change.
* Previous experience in bakery sector highly desirable.
* Competent in using a PC and navigating the MS Office for daily tasks.
What You’ll Get
* Competitive Pay: £40k-£48K depending on experience.
* Monday to Friday.
* 39 hours per week, 06:00 - 14:30 Monday - Thursday with earlier finish on Fridays.
