Senior Social Worker – Adult Locality Team
Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Worker within the Adult Locality Team to work Full Time based in Bromley.
The salary for this Senior Social Worker job is up to £54,063 per annum.
* Assist and participate in the management of the Duty Service and act as Duty Senior.
* Undertake the safeguarding adult manager role and role of enquiry officer as defined in the Pan London Safeguarding procedures.
* Undertake strength-based assessments for adults and their carers. Offer support and advice as appropriate to Adults and their Carers.
* Initiate and co-ordinate support plans for and with Adults and their Carers, in conjunction with professional colleagues and representatives of voluntary and private agencies.
* As necessary, ensure that work is allocated, transferred or concluded, in accordance with procedures.
* Develop and support self and staff learning.
* Monitor and review the needs and support plans of adults and their carers.
* Maintain client records in accordance with Council Policy and professional standards.
* Respond to and where possible resolve complaints in line with the Council’s complaints procedure.
* Work across different teams within the Division as and when needed.
* Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Department/Section.
* Ensure Adults and Carers are able to represent their views and opinions by providing advocacy, communicators or translators when appropriate.
* Co-ordinate, participate and where appropriate chair, case conferences and planning meetings.
* Participate in multi-disciplinary and inter-agency meetings and working groups and represent the Department as required.
* Supervise, support and appraise staff in line with policy as agreed with line manager.
* Ensure that information required on adult records is completed before authorising or closing to ensure statutory reporting data is accurate.
* Contribute to service development by providing information and ideas for improved and/or more efficient ways of providing a service.
Requirements of this Senior Social Worker job:
* A social Work Qualification or equivalent
* Social Work England registration
* Understanding of relevant legislation.
* Registered or eligible for registration.
