A forward-thinking secondary school in Chepstow is seeking a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team, working with students who need guidance, structure, and positive reinforcement to succeed in school.
Your Role Will Involve:
✅ Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural difficulties
✅ Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional resilience through consistent routines and relationship-building
✅ Acting as a positive role model and mentor, helping pupils re-engage with learning
✅ Supporting behaviour-focused interventions and classroom inclusion strategies
✅ Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral teams to promote a calm and nurturing school environment
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience supporting young people with behavioural needs (in education, youth work, care, or sports)
Is calm under pressure, patient, and empathetic
Communicates effectively and can build trust with students
Has (or is willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Is EWC registered (we can help you with this)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
