The Role As a Rapid Response Night Nurse with the Superior Healthcare complex care team, you will provide personal, 1:1 bedside nursing care to clients in their own homes. Although the role is community-based, it remains a hands-on clinical nursing position, centred around building trust, offering consistency, and delivering high-quality care to each client. You will support clients when their regular nurse is unavailable, ensuring their routine, comfort, and safety are never disrupted. Your clients will present with a range of complex and life-limiting conditions, including congenital and degenerative conditions, spinal injuries, brain injuries, and needs requiring interventions such as ventilation, gastrostomy care, and bowel management. You will work with both adult and paediatric clients, providing compassionate and reliable bedside care tailored to each individual’s needs. Getting to Know Your Clients To ensure you feel confident and supported in the role, you will be inducted into all clients within your area. This allows you to: Build meaningful relationships with each client and their family Understand their routines, preferences, and clinical needs Deliver consistent, person-centred care when responding to their package Step in confidently whenever required, ensuring continuity for the client This approach enables you to become a familiar, trusted face across the client group you support. Regular Working Pattern (not ad-hoc agency shifts) You will work contracted hours on a fixed 2-week rolling rota : Week 1: 3 shifts Week 2: 4 shifts This pattern repeats for the entire year, giving you complete clarity and stability over your schedule. You will always know exactly what you are working well in advance, unlike ad-hoc agency roles. Alongside direct client care, you may also assist with the training and induction of Healthcare Assistants and Nurses, helping strengthen the support network for the clients in your area. Clean and valid Registered Nurse pin with at least 1 year post-registration experience. Experienced in providing support for client's with tracheostomy, ventilators and PEG.
