Barker Ross is recruiting a permanent Operations and Transport Planner to join a dynamic Co-pack operation in Coalville. This is a hands‑on role working closely with the Customer Account Manager, Planning, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth movement and planning of goods.
Salary:
30,000–32,000 p/a (depending on experience)
Shift:
Rotating weekly shifts: 06:00–14:00 & 14:00–06:00
(Up to 6 weeks: Day shift for training)
This is a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse, aligned with production plans and order schedules.
* Collaborate with third‑party transport providers to schedule, monitor, and execute daily deliveries and collections.
* Plan loads and allocate goods efficiently.
* Ensure warehouse capacity is optimised, managing inbound and outbound stock flow.
* Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date delivery schedules in all systems.
* Manage pallet ordering, control, and reporting to ensure orders are fulfilled on time.

Requirements
* Experience in a warehouse environment, ideally servicing food‑related customers.
* Strong stock administration skills.
* Experience working in a customer‑focused, fast‑changing environment.
* Advanced spreadsheet skills and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
