Complex Care Assistant – Spinal Injury Support (M26 Area)
Location: M26
Hours: 24-hour care (Full-time / Part-time / Day & Night shifts available)
Contract Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero-hours
We are looking for a caring and reliable Complex Care Assistant to support an individual living with a spinal cord injury in their own home. This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference to someone's daily life.
The role involves:
* Tracheostomy care (tube changes, suctioning, manual coughs)
* Safe hoist transfers and mobility support
* Support with breathing valves and oxygen monitoring
* PEG feeding, hydration, and catheter care
* Assistance with daily living and personal care
* Working closely with healthcare professionals
What we're looking for:
* At least 6 months previous care experience in the UK
* Caring, patient, and a strong communicator
* Experience (or willingness to train) in tracheostomy care, suctioning, PEG feeding, and catheter care
* Confident with safe moving & handling
* Able to work 12-hour care shifts as part of a team
