About Non-Billable
Non-Billable is a fast-growing media brand covering the UK legal industry, with a particular focus on City law firms and the commercial landscape they operate in.
We report on client wins, major deals, high-stakes cases, legal tech developments, and the strategic moves shaping the legal market. Our mission is to deliver sharp, accessible, and engaging journalism that modern lawyers actually want to read.
The Role
We’re looking for a highly organised and motivated Editorial & Operations Assistant to join Non-Billable full-time. This is a junior role supporting both the day-to-day running of the business and the production of editorial content.
You’ll play a central role in keeping Non-Billable running smoothly - helping manage publishing schedules, coordinating with contributors and partners, and supporting the production of structured editorial content such as law firm profiles, career guides, and reports.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is interested in media, journalism and the business of law, and who enjoys working behind the scenes to make things happen.

* Research and produce evergreen editorial content such as law firm profiles, career guides, and background material for reports
* Support the management and development of Non-Billable’s job board and careers offering
* Assist with the planning and preparation of sponsored reports and partnerships
* Work closely with the editor to prioritise work and keep publishing running smoothly
Requirements
* Based in the UK, with the ability to travel to London for occasional in-person meetings or events
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Clear, accurate writing and the ability to produce well-structured copy
* Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and working to deadlines
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of routine processes
* An interest in the legal sector and the business of professional services
* Previous experience in journalism, publishing, research, communications, or a legal-adjacent role is helpful but not essential.
What We Offer
* £28,000 annual salary
* Remote-first working environment (UK hours)
* 25 days’ holiday, plus bank holidays
* Hands-on experience inside a fast-growing media business
* A chance to grow with the publication and take on more responsibility over time
