Overview
We have a fantastic and exciting opportunity for people who want to make a difference to vulnerable and elderly people in Dudley. The Community Alarm Officer will work as part of a highly skilled and motivated team to install, monitor, and respond to technology-enabled care (TEC) alarms, enabling residents to remain at home with independence and safety.
Responsibilities
* Install TEC equipment.
* Complete assessments and participate in falls response service to support non‑injured fallers.
* Answer alarm calls, housing repair calls, Emergency Duty Team calls and other out‑of‑hours contacts.
* Work shifts as part of a 24/7 service, including evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotating rota.
Requirements
* Full driving licence and own a vehicle insured for business use.
* Ability to work a 22.2‑hour week over a rolling 23‑week rota.
* Proficiency in using telecare systems and responding to alarm activations.
* Basic medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check.
Compensation
* Salary: £31,537–£34,434 (pro‑rata) plus 15% shift enhancement and weekend allowances.
