Health & Safety Manager, Large Public Venue, Belfast, £38,000 - £45,000
Your new companyWe are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the delivery of venue and event safety across a high-profile, public-facing environment. Reporting to the Head of FM & Venue and Event Safety, you will play a central role in ensuring all operations and events run safely, securely and in full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Your new roleWorking closely with internal teams and external partners, you will manage the organisation’s health and safety strategy, maintain robust safety management systems, and foster a culture where safety is embedded in every aspect of our operations. This is a hands-on role within a fast-moving environment, requiring strong leadership, technical expertise and the ability to respond proactively to changing operational needs.Key Responsibilities:Venue & Event Safety Operations - Oversee day-to-day safety across all sites, including live event support, routine audits, contractor management, and the smooth running of the security control room.Policy & Compliance - Maintain and develop health and safety management systems, technical procedures and safe systems of work, ensuring full legal compliance and effective risk mitigation.Emergency Planning - Enhance emergency preparedness, support incident response, and contribute to the development and delivery of emergency procedures and drills.Staff Training & Development - Coordinate safety training, briefings and meetings, helping to build a confident, well-informed workforce with safety at its core.Partnership Liaison - Work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners and contractors to ensure consistent safety standards and effective communication across all operations.What you'll need to succeedApplicants must meet either of the following criteria:NEBOSH General Certificate or similar level Health & Safety qualificationMinimum 5 years’ experience at a senior Health & Safety levelDemonstrable experience leading Health & Safety within an organisation and managing contractorsStrong knowledge of statutory compliance in Health & SafetyExperience overseeing large, public facing venues or estatesExcellent interpersonal, influencing and report writing skillsExperience working cross departmentally in a fast paced environmentWhat you'll get in returnSalary: £38,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)37.5 hours per weekNILGOSC pension schemeGenerous annual leave entitlementOpportunities for professional development and trainingA dynamic, high-profile working environmentWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, contact Michael Dickson on 02890446900 or click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career. # 4791705
