About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Electrical Engineer or Electrical Design Engineering Manager to lead a small but highly capable design and manufacturing operation within one of our specialist subsidiaries. Whilst this is a hands on role and is ideal for someone who wants to retain a lead in innovative electrical and electromechanical design, while also eager to mentor and develop a small engineering and support team.
You will play a key part in shaping the technical roadmap of the business, overseeing product development from concept through to manufacture, and ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality, compliant and commercially successful products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and mentor a small team of electrical and electromechanical engineers.
2. Take full ownership of product design lifecycle, from concept generation to detailed design and documentation.
3. Design electrical and electromechanical products to industry standards, ensuring safety, reliability and manufacturability.
4. Provide technical leadership across the business, acting as the subject matter expert for electrical systems and compliance requirements.
5. Oversee and participate in the production of detailed schematics, layouts, assemblies, and bills of materials.
