The Creative Arts Faculty is made up of five subjects: DT, Art, Textiles, Food, and Music. We are an outward thinking team, striving for constant improvement, to be the best we can be. We all work closely together, finding links within each subject and promoting these through our integrated curriculum. Exam results within the faculty are good and improving, and students enjoy their learning in Creative Arts. Breckland School is a good and improving school well regarded by the local community with whom it works closely. Staff enjoy working here and our students are well behaved and keen to learn. Our shared pedagogy is rooted in cognitive science and evidence informed to get the very best out of our students. From September we will also be introducing a new KS3 co-curricular initiative, within our school timetable, to provide students wishing to have an increased focus on aspects of our curriculum time to broaden experience and deepen the love of the subject. For DT this means joining the STEM team to support opportunities to develop a love of engineering and technological advancement within our students lives and helping student work towards their STEM and CREST awards in Yr 9.
