Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in delivering an exceptional standard of care within the community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adult social care, and will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, staff supervision, and service quality. This position requires outstanding leadership and management skills to ensure our care teams are supported and our service users receive compassionate, person-centred care in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the management in the overall running of the domiciliary care service, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and best practice guidelines.
* Supervise care staff, providing guidance on care planning, medication support, and safeguarding protocols.
* Lead the development, implementation, and review of individualised care plans that promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
* Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages communication, accountability, and professional growth.
* Conduct regular assessments of service user needs, preferences, and risks to ensure responsive and safe care delivery.
* Oversee daily administrative tasks including rota management, compliance documentation, and performance reviews.
* Liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate holistic support for service users.
* Participate in on-call duties on your agreed working days.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience in a similar leadership role within domiciliary or community-based care is essential.
* Background in adult social care, including management experience is essential.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage care teams in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
* Familiarity with medication support protocols, care planning, and safeguarding procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with service users, families, and staff with empathy and professionalism.
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
