Job Description:
We are looking to appoint a nurturing, enthusiastic, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs at our welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wellingborough, starting September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with a variety of needs and helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, communication and language difficulties, and social/emotional needs.
Assist the class teacher and SENCo in delivering tailored interventions and learning programmes.
Support children in accessing the curriculum and fully engaging in school life.
Help implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
Encourage independence, confidence, and progress through positive reinforcement and structured routines.
Contribute to a safe, happy, and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Requirements:
Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (school-based experience preferred).
A strong understanding of SEND support strategies and differentiated learning.
Patience, empathy, and excellent behaviour management skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and families.
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification, or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential with relevant experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
