Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Staff to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills within a vibrant food service environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
* Assist with meal preparation and food presentation in line with established recipes and standards
* Support kitchen operations by organising ingredients and supplies for efficient workflow
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces
* Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, peeling, and portioning
* Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times
* Serve food to customers or assist serving staff during busy periods
* Support catering events by setting up and clearing away serving stations
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals and excellent customer service
Requirements
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment, restaurant, or catering setting is preferred but not mandatory
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and cleanliness
* Willingness to learn new culinary techniques and adapt to different roles within the kitchen team
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
* Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
