Mechanical Supervisor City of London £60,000 per annum Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Bias Supervisor to join their team on a prestigious large commercial landlord site in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to lead a sizable on-site engineering team and play a key role in delivering a high-quality building services maintenance contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical and electrical planned and reactive maintenance, remedial works, and emergency response across the site. You will be mechanically biased, City & Guilds / NVQ qualified, and multi-skilled with strong all-round building services knowledge. Key Responsibilities Oversee PPM schedules and reactive maintenance activities Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, adjustments, and remedial works Supervising a team of maintenance engineer Ensure plant and equipment operate efficiently and in line with statutory and contractual requirements Carry out and oversee isolations of plant and systems in accordance with safety procedures Organise and manage subcontractors Complete logbooks, RAMS, permits to work, and compliance documentation Liaise with client representatives regarding corrective and remedial works Monitor plant performance and accurately record operational data Promote safe working practices, quality standards, and best-practice methods Maintain high standards of housekeeping within plant and work areas Technical Experience Required PPMs and reactive maintenance Single & three-phase power Motors, pumps, generators (on/off load testing) LV/HV switching and shutdowns Switchgear and emergency lighting Fire alarm testing AHUs, FCUs, VAVs Sprinkler systems Belts, bearings, seals BMS operation Requirements City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) Proven experience supervising a maintenance engineering team Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial building services maintenance Strong leadership and organisational skills Career-driven with ambition to progress Polite, professional, and client-facing Salary & Benefits £60,000 per annum Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Pension package Overtime available Ongoing training and development Excellent opportunity for internal progression within a growing company
