About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Environmental Sustainability Manager to help shape and deliver their global environmental strategy. You will play a key role in driving progress toward their Net Zero ambitions and embedding environmental responsibility across operations, supply chains, and client engagement.
As part of a Responsible Business team working across the UK, you will lead on environmental strategy, performance measurement, and compliance, ensuring that environmental considerations are integrated into business decisions and that regulatory and client expectations are consistently met.
What You’ll Do
* Lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s environmental sustainability strategy in line with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and client needs
* Manage environmental data collection, analysis and verification, ensuring accurate reporting against KPIs
* Maintain and evolve the environmental management system, ensuring alignment with ISO 14001
* Oversee compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and reporting obligations (e.g., ESOS, SECR, CFD)
* Provide expert support and guidance to internal teams, helping to operationalise environmental commitments across the organisation
* Support bid and client requests relating to environmental performance and collaborate with procurement on sustainable supply chain initiatives
* Manage relationships with external consultants, auditors, and carbon accounting specialists
* Lead internal engagement and communications on environmental priorities, deliver training, and coordinate sustainability-related content for internal and external channels
* Contribute environmental insight into the broader Responsible Business strategy
Who We’re Looking For
* Strong background in environmental management within a professional services or aligned environment
* Comprehensive understanding of environmental legislation, compliance requirements, and management systems, including ISO 14001
* Confident with environmental data analysis, carbon accounting, target setting, and performance reporting
* Professional membership desirable (e.g., IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM)
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with experience building and maintaining relationships across varied stakeholders
* Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
