Job Description
SEMH Learning Support - Full time! Hours: 8.30am - 3:00pm - Mon - Fri Pay Rate: £106 and up based on experience! Start Date: ASAP (after passing background checks) Duties Provide support both one on one and in groups to students with SEMH needs, ensuring their emotional and educational requirements are met.
Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social skills and emotional well-being. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive classroom environment.
Support students during lessons, helping them engage with the curriculum effectively. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary. Employ effective communication strategies to encourage students' participation and confidence in learning activities.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to special education. Requirements Experience working with children or people with SEMH needs, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities. Strong behaviour management skills and communication skills Alternate education qualifications in education or special education is desirable.
