About the Role
We are looking for a detail-focused and proactive Payroll Administrator to join our busy Payroll team. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative support to ensure accurate and timely pay processing for all staff across Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Hawkes Bay.
You’ll assist with weekly pay runs, maintain employee records, process deductions, manage documentation, and respond to payroll enquiries. You’ll also work across multiple payroll systems, support compliance with legislation and collective agreements, and elevate complex matters to senior payroll officers when needed.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys accuracy, problem solving and working behind the scenes to keep critical systems running smoothly.

About the Team/Service/Location
You’ll join the Payroll team, located at the Corporate Office in Hawkes Bay. The team is supportive, collaborative, and plays a vital part in ensuring our people are paid correctly and on time.
The Payroll team works closely with colleagues across People & Communications, Finance, managers, team leaders, unions, and external authorities such as IRD, ACC and superannuation providers. You will be part of a service that values confidentiality, accuracy, teamwork and exceptional customer service.
