Conveyancing Paralegal
Are you a Legal Assistant eager to take the next step in your career and become a qualified Conveyancer? At Conveyancing Direct, we have an opportunity for a Junior Conveyancer to join our team in St Leonards on Sea.
Join our supportive team, where you'll receive comprehensive training and guidance to achieve your CLC qualification. Our innovative pod structure allows you to work closely with experienced seniors, with a supervising conveyancer to develop & train you.
Key responsibilities of a Junior Conveyancer
1. You will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload, gaining exposure to all aspects of conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion, registration, and closure of the file. Additional support is provided by our specialised teams in title checking and post-completion to assist with your workload & provide assistance when needed.
2. Accuracy and attention to detail are key, as you will be taking instructions, communicating with clients and third parties, and drafting legal documents including Standard Precedent Letters, Contract Packs, Exchange and Completion letters.
3. Carry out Pre-completion, Land Registry, and Conveyancing searches to ensure the file is ready for exchange and completion.
4. Carry out Post Completion work including preparing and sending applications to the Land Registry, Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions, file closures, and checking account ledgers.

Skills and experience required
1. This role is ideally suited for a legal assistant or similar professional seeking to develop a career in conveyancing.
2. Excellent communication skills, good time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail is crucial.
3. Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
4. Knowledge of Case Management Systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred but not essential.
