Reporting to the Housing and Communities Manager, the Housing Officer is responsible for assisting with the management of general needs, supported, and emergency accommodation owned by RBLI on the 72-acre RBLI Village in Aylesford. The role involves ensuring that RBLI’s housing and maintenance policies and procedures are effectively implemented, and providing exceptional customer service to RBLI residents in the allocation and management of properties.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage short-term waiting lists and conduct initial assessments of applications for emergency accommodation (HMO), general needs, and supported accommodation (Over 55’s).
2. Monitor rent debt and manage the recovery of rent arrears.
3. Ensure compliance with housing policies and procedures.
4. Provide support and guidance to residents and prospective applicants.
